I am coming back home to the blog. Life in the past two years has been absolutely nuts! Damn, its been two years!?! I should be ashamed. Life has a funny way of showing you what is real and what is not real, and when you need to get your head out of your own ass, and sometimes life can be a moody bitch. Between being a mommy, heartbreak, family and friend drama, and in all get my shit together. The Quiet Giant fell through the cracks, but I will be coming back to my "creative therapy baby". I need my blog and the blog needs me. In the beginning I was using the Quiet Giant as a personal style/ fashion blog which it will remain to be because that is a big part of me, but I want the blog to be a bit more personal. Instead of posting pictures on Instagram and Facebook I will be using my blog. Do not get me wrong I love checking in on my friends and family and seeing what is out there, but its time to switch it up.

So, what to look forward to? EVERYTHING that is me (and its a lot too). Anything in between style, art, music, food, books, people, etc and etc. My lifestyle in a nutshell, basically. I have evolved and I am still evolving. One day at a time. Ok, I am blabbing on so until next time. Be the best you!

Repetitive Essential

Outfit: DIY shorts/ top: Thrift Store/ Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell

Hey guys,
How is it going? I don't know where you all are from but Kentucky is the new hell's kitchen or "death" that is what I call it. It is crazy hot here. I love summer and heat but this is too much. For the past few days I have been moving out of my old apartment into a house. My cousin and I moving huge pieces of furniture at 1pm! Two girls lifting and pushing my sofa and my beef cake college football player neighbor and his friends watching us and not offering a hand (ugh, men are useless). Never the less my cousin and I got it done without help...like BOSSES!

Ok, let talk fashion week. Have you all been following the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week: Berlin? Or other International MBFW? Being from America the fashions here are beautiful but doesn't spark any interest or surprise for me anymore. NYMBFW is so big and generalized that it is repetitive and overwhelming. I follow international fashion week more closely than in the states. I am the only one that feels this way? Does anybody that live in a different country feel the same about there country?

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Top:  Vintage Leslie Fay// Jeans: Forever 21// Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell "Float"

Hey guys Xx

I told you all that I am obsessed with sequin. I am convinced that my heart pumps glitter and sequin.
Although the tag said evening wear; I couldn't resist wearing the dress/shirt in the peak of the day. After a lap around the arboretum I understood why the labeled said evening wear. This top weights around 5 lbs. I was crazy hot!

Aladdin's Alternative Vest

Vest: Vintage x Lawrence Kazar
Shorts: "Thrift" Levi
Shoes: Dolce Vita

This vest is one of my wardrobe favorites...I am obsessed with sequin.
I picked up this beauty at a local boutique, Street Scene, it is full of yummy 60's and 50's vintage goodies last year. If you are ever in Kentucky take a trip to Street Scene in Lexington (Big Blue Nation).
